You know what? It's been ages since I've been forcibly butt-raped. But that's what the U.S. Army did to me last week... in a manner of speaking, anyway.
I signed up for a 10-miler. What I got was an 11-and-a-half-miler. WTF is that about???
Seems there was the little manner of a bomb scare on the 14th Street Bridge going out of DC on the 7th mile of the run, so the race that I've trained 5 months for turned out to be an UNTIMED FUN RUN. Great. Thanks a lot!
I ran it in 1:42. Not bad.
