I've decided to start an afterschool enrichment class for the black kids at school -- all five of them. We've got 400 kids and only about five are kids of color. So I decided to have a class to teach them 'tude.
The first lesson will be entitled, "I know you didn't." Special care will be taken on pronunciation, diction (or lack thereof!) emphatic eye-rolling and general 'tude technique.
I will also offer total physical response techniques on head shakin', lip pursing and the proper hand gestures for "Fierce!"
Later on, I will showcase the proper cornrow, why dreds are ALWAYS WRONG and why relaxer should never be used on children below the age of 16.
Since education is a service profession, it's important to let the kids know that they got SERVED.
