This relationship just isn't working for me.

I hit the ground running, Monday. It was my first day at school. I didn't bring an apple for myself, but I should've. The kids are great -- they're funny and sweet and mischievous. I know they'll keep me entertained.
In other news, I'm going to be moving bit by bit this week, starting Wednesday. I plan to be all done by Sunday afternoon, so that I can be ready for a VERY short commute (about a mile) next Monday.
The teachers here are funny. One reminds me of Patsy from AbFab. "Just swig some vodka down with that Advil," I told her about her headache. She got a big kick out of that. I think we'll get along fine. Quite a few of the teachers are in their early to mid-30s, which is nice. I've met 4 other male teachers, which is great. Very reassuring. I think they'll be very friendly towards me.
Things are looking up. This concludes this annoyingly, cloyingly positive entry.
