Apahto is Japanese for apartment. It's pronounced a-PAH-toe. And it's what I'm in the process of looking for these days.
The Maison Deleterious is really getting on my nerves. Since the flood, it's been miserable to live there. Everything in the basement was soaked. And then came the mold. A-choo! *Excuse me!*Then came the mildew. Then came the sickly, wretched stench that crawled up the nostrils and entered my brain. It's just this omni-present, nasty affliction that renders the basement and first level of the place unbearable and unliveable. My second-story bedroom/bathroom is fortunately immune to the yuckiness.
But I still have to come in through the first level. And it's a foul thing, too. So it's time to go. Pronto. Put the gas on. I'm apahto hunting like there's no tomorrow. Gather the boxes and lay out the map. I'm buying some thumbtacks and making a path ... to apahto-land.
In other news, I'm loving, absolutely loving this blog. I think I have a certain simpatico with him, since he has to deal with some of the same flim-flam and hoo-ha that I do on a daily basis. Smelly patrons, loud kids and people who attempt to operate a computer mouse as if it were a telephone.
Mom, Dad and Christian are spending the week in the Hamptons. I will join them Saturday and stay for a few days. It should be relaxing.
Oddly, I have grown semi-obsessive wondering who reads this drivil. So I found out which hosts have connected to me. Initial results point to bored students at the following universities... U of Tennessee and University of Mississippi. I'm not sure why. Perhaps there's a little jblend juice in the water there....
